Adalyst connects to LinkedIn through LinkedIn's own sign-in. It lists every ad account your LinkedIn user can reach, reads the accounts you switch on, and can prepare or publish supported campaign changes after you review them.
Before you begin
- You are a workspace admin in Adalyst. Only admins can connect, disconnect or switch accounts on.
- Your LinkedIn user has access to the ad accounts you want to analyse in LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
How to connect
Open Connections
In Adalyst, open Settings, then Connections, and find LinkedIn Ads under Ad platforms.
Sign in to LinkedIn
Sign in and approve the requested access. LinkedIn does not ask you to choose an account here; Adalyst lists every ad account your user can reach once you return.
Switch on your ad accounts
Expand LinkedIn Ads and switch on each ad account whose spend and campaigns should feed your analysis. Your plan may limit how many can be switched on at once.
Let the first sync run
Adalyst starts collecting campaign structure and performance as soon as an account is switched on. The Connections page tells you if LinkedIn needs reconnecting.
Questions
What does Adalyst read from LinkedIn Ads?
Campaign groups, campaigns, creatives, targeting, delivery status, performance at account, campaign and creative level, conversions, lead gen forms, saved audiences and audience demographics. This is what cross-platform analysis and revenue attribution need.
What access does Adalyst request?
LinkedIn's advertising permissions to read ad accounts and reporting and to manage campaigns, plus organisation permissions used for sponsored content. Changes are only ever made after a person reviews them.
Can Adalyst change my LinkedIn campaigns?
Yes, for supported changes such as budgets, status, end dates, targeting and new ads. Adalyst prepares the change, shows it for review, and publishes it only when someone with permission approves it. Connected AI tools can only do this when a workspace admin has allowed campaign changes.
How do I disconnect LinkedIn Ads?
Open Settings, then Connections, and disconnect LinkedIn Ads. This stops synchronisation and switches off your LinkedIn ad accounts. Data already synced stays in your workspace. If you reconnect later, switch the accounts you need back on; you will not be sent through onboarding again.
Troubleshooting
- An ad account I expected is not listed
- Check that your LinkedIn user has a role on that account in Campaign Manager, then use Reconnect so Adalyst fetches the account list again.
- Adalyst will not let me switch an account on
- Your LinkedIn sign-in may have expired. Reconnect LinkedIn Ads, then switch the account on. If you have reached your plan's ad account limit, switch another account off first.
