How AI campaign permissions work

How Adalyst controls what connected AI tools can read, draft and publish in your LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns.

Updated

Connected AI tools always start with read access. A workspace admin decides whether they can also read individual CRM records and make campaign changes, and only an admin can approve a tool for drafting, testing or publishing. Every live change still needs its own confirmation.

Before you begin

  • Your workspace has an active paid Adalyst subscription. AI tool access is not included in free trials.
  • You are a workspace admin, to change these settings.

The permissions

  1. Read marketing data

On whenever AI tools are enabled. Tools can read the advertising, analytics, CRM summary, campaign and asset data permitted for the workspace.

  2. Read individual CRM records

Optional. Lets tools read named contacts and companies rather than only aggregate summaries.

  3. Publish campaign changes

Optional. Lets tools prepare, test and publish supported changes to LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns. Google Ads changes also need the workspace's Google Ads settings switched on.

  4. Revoke when no longer needed

Turn a permission off for the workspace, or revoke a single connected tool, in Settings, MCP.

Questions

Can a tool's grant override the workspace settings?

No. Workspace settings always win. Turning a setting off also narrows what existing connections can do, from their next request.

Who can approve campaign changes for an AI tool?

Only workspace admins. When another member connects a tool, it receives read access only. Granting testing or publishing also requires a sign-in within the last ten minutes.

Can an AI tool spend my budget without me knowing?

Each live change needs its own confirmation before it is published, and publishing is only possible when an admin has allowed campaign changes. Changes to live LinkedIn or Google Ads campaigns can affect delivery and spend, so grant this only to tools and people you trust.

Is there an audit trail?

Yes. Adalyst records who changed the workspace's AI permissions and when, with the values before and after, as well as each tool authorisation, revocation and tool call.
