What is a marketing MCP server?

How Adalyst's MCP server gives AI tools such as Claude governed access to your advertising, analytics and CRM data.

Updated

A marketing MCP server lets an AI tool use your marketing data and tools without being handed each platform's credentials. The AI tool signs in to Adalyst, and Adalyst applies your workspace's boundaries and permissions to every request.

Before you begin

  • Your workspace has an active paid Adalyst subscription. AI tool access is not included in free trials.

How it works

  1. Connect your data to Adalyst

Connect the advertising, analytics and CRM sources the workspace should use.

  2. Set what AI tools may do

Summary reads are on by default. A workspace admin decides whether connected tools can also read individual CRM records and make campaign changes.

  3. Connect an MCP client

Add https://api.adalyst.app/mcp to a compatible client and approve its sign-in request.

  4. Work from the conversation

The AI tool can call only the Adalyst tools and data permitted for that workspace and grant.

Questions

Does the AI tool get my platform passwords or tokens?

No. The AI tool authenticates to Adalyst only. Adalyst keeps the underlying platform connections and applies workspace boundaries and permissions.

Can access be taken away?

Yes. Workspace admins can turn AI tools off, which disconnects every tool straight away, narrow the permissions, or revoke a single client. Adalyst records each authorisation, revocation and tool call.

Which AI tools work with Adalyst?

Claude, Cursor and other clients that support remote MCP over HTTP with OAuth sign-in. Each client's own setup and availability are controlled by its provider.
