Use Adalyst in ChatGPT

Connect Adalyst to ChatGPT through a custom MCP connector, where your ChatGPT plan allows it.

Updated

Where your ChatGPT plan offers custom MCP connectors, add https://api.adalyst.app/mcp, sign in to Adalyst and approve access for your workspace. The same Adalyst permissions apply as in any other AI tool.

Before you begin

  • Your workspace has an active paid Adalyst subscription. AI tool access is not included in free trials.
  • A workspace admin has selected Enable access in Settings, then MCP.
  • Your ChatGPT plan and workspace policy allow custom MCP connectors. OpenAI controls this, and it varies by plan and region.

How to connect

  1. Enable AI tools

A workspace admin opens Settings, then MCP, in Adalyst and selects Enable access.

  2. Create the connector

In ChatGPT's connector settings, create a custom connector using https://api.adalyst.app/mcp.

  3. Approve in Adalyst

Follow the browser prompt, sign in to Adalyst, choose the workspace and approve the requested access.

  4. Check the connection

Return to Settings, MCP in Adalyst and confirm ChatGPT is listed.

Questions

Why can't I add a custom connector in ChatGPT?

Custom connector availability is set by OpenAI and depends on your ChatGPT plan, workspace policy and region. Adalyst cannot switch it on. If it is unavailable, use another compatible client such as Claude.

Does ChatGPT get more access than other tools?

No. Every connected tool is limited to the selected workspace's Adalyst permissions and to what you approved when connecting.

How do I remove ChatGPT's access?

Revoke it in Settings, MCP. Adalyst invalidates the grant, which stops future access.
